Capitalism at its Finest
Have you ever begged your parents to buy you something at one point in your life because you were unable to buy it yourself? Or have your parents ever told you to save your pennies? Well, because of capitalism, your whole life could revolve around craving for money to buy something you really want, but just cannot afford it. Whether is it for a house, a car, fresh food from a good yet expensive restaurant, or even just some luxuries in life like a new cell phone, a boat, or a pet. As a child you were taught to save your pennies, however, you could have grown up always having the bare minimum because after paying taxes, and food, and the other necessities of life, there isn't enough money for your own personal spending. Why is it fair that you grow up with nothing, and others grow up with everything. That elite group of wealthy people, have more than they need. They could give away half of there money and still buy whatever they want and be better off for the remainder of their perfect lives'. Chances are, they did not even work for that money. Their parents passed it down to them just as it was passed down to their parents. In today's society, it isn't enough to work as hard as you can to become rich. There are people that work really hard throughout school, but when they get out of college. They can't find a job and they are already in a lot of debt from school. So they are forced to take the jobs they can get and it might not be a great one. You could work as hard as you possibly can and you will not become wealthy from that. The old american dream that was said, is now just an idea that is out of our grasp and now, many people cannot afford food when the wealthy people are buying a summer home in addition to their winter one, a yacht, and that sports car you wish you could afford. They simply have more than they need when you are struggling to stay under a roof. What makes them more worthy of the money? In many cases, nothing. Because of capitalism, and the way money moves around, you could be suffering, waiting for a break, and the person you strive to become is sitting by the pool in paradise.
